Micromax Unite 2 A106: Get transparent status bar

Micromax has recently launched Canvas unite 2 with decent price range with latest android operating system kitkat 4.4.2. Now among the new features transparent status bar is also one of the attractive features of new kitkat android version. But the problem is we are not getting that transparent statusbar in this unite 2 mobile. That’s really sad that we only get black colored status bar even we are having kitkat android version in it. But in this article we will learn about how we can make that black status bar transparent.

First you need to root your unite 2 mobile. You can easily find out the method of rooting this phone on XDA developer site or by searching about it on Google. After rooting your phone you need to install the Xposed Installer application from XDA site. You can find out the download link and how to use this application from this link. In past we were using Gravity box application for getting transparent status bar in the jelly bean android version. But on kitkat gravity box version there is no option for making status bar transparent.

So after installing the Xposed Installer you need to download “Xposed StatusBar Mods” or "XBlast Tools" module from the download section of Xposed installer app. You will get this module icon on your menu list. After installing you need to check out this “Xposed StatusBar Mods” or "XBlast Tools" module from the module section from Xposed installer application. Then just restart your phone and now it’s all done.

From the “Xposed StatusBar Mods” or other module you can easily make your status bar transparent. There is an option available in the application in the status bar tweak section.

So this is it. After installing this module from the Xposed Installer you can easily make your unite 2 status bar transparent and can enjoy kitkat experience fully.

Android 4.4 Kitkat for Micromax Canvas Phones?

Micromax has already given few updates for android version in past for their popular canvas phones. But after Android 4.2 version they haven’t given anything new. Google has already launched the kitkat version Android 4.4. So Android 4.2 is now old thing. But now there is some good news for Micromax phone users. They may receive new kitkat update in near future.

As per MMXNewsCaster, Micromax may soon release Android 4.4 kitkat version for their canvas series phones. This is something exciting news for all micromax phone users. As per this news the phone list is quite big enough which will get the Android kitkat update. Means many canvas series phones can get this new update.

This is still rumor, no official word yet from Micromax. But if this is true then it can bring good future for Micromax phones.

Honestly I am quite surprised seeing few old devices like A110 in the list for getting kitkat version. Such rumors were spread in the past too. I mean in past rumors were saying that Canvas HD and other models will get Android 4.3 update soon but still no update available yet. Hope this new will be true soon enough.

IOS 7: Add ringtones and music in iPhone without iTunes

In iPhone it is not easy to add ringtones. We have to use iTunes for adding music and ringtones on our phone which is little bit complicated as we have to synchronize our data each time we add something new. So it can make things complicated when you try out other computer for the same purpose. But you can add those ringtones without iTunes too with very easy way. You don’t need to synchronize the things each time you do this thing.

How to add ringtones in IOS 7 or earlier without iTunes?

For this thing you have to use other application named ifunbox. This is cool software using which you can add music and other stuffs really very easy. Just attach your phone with laptop or computer and you can start adding tones into your phone.  First install this software on your computer; it is available free on internet. Then connect your iphone to with your computer and the software will detect it soon enough. Now go to Quick Toolbox section available on the top. Here you will find different options for importing and exporting stuffs from and on your iPhone as shown in below image.

From this section you can easily add stuffs like music and tones. Check all the functions as it is possible one or more of them not work for you. For me tones section working perfect. This software also provides function for file manager without jailbreaking your phone. So it is one of the big advantages.

Note: Even for using this software you need iTunes installed on your computer otherwise it will not work. It will just make your task easy; it will not erase iTunes use completely as you still need it installed on your computer before using this software.

Windows 8 phones Facebook Update: Now save photos directly

I have Nokia Lumia 720 phone. So far I was very disappoint with facebook application on my windows phone because using it I wasn’t able to save any photos to my phone directly from application. So I have search about it on interent and came to know that facebook applicaton is in beta stage and not having all those options yet. But just today I got update for facebook application. And with this new update all windows phone  users can save their facebook photos directly on their phone using application itself.

First make sure that you have installed latest version or updated your old facebook version.

After this update I can see menu button (with three dots) when I open any photo on facebook application and using it we got saving photo option now. So this is good news for all nokia lumia users and other users who having windows 8 phones. They can now directly save photos from facebook application on their windows phone.

Set background image on notification panel in all android

Notification area is the busiest part of any android phone. People just keep checking that out for different kind of notifications. By default we have very boring and simple notification area with black or dark grey color. For this trick you have to download Gravity Box module and activate it using the Xposed Installer. Just read the article for whole installation and activation process.

After you completing installation and activation just open the Gravity Box app form your android menu. From the menu select the Statusbar tweak.  In this you need to select Notification drawer style. Now you will get option for changing notification drawer background. Here you can select custom image and then select the image you want to set as notification drawer background.

So this is it. After doing above procedure you will get selected image as notification panel background. For more better and smooth experience don’t forget to select Underlay in the Background mode section from the same page.

Make Status-bar and Notification Panel transparent in all android

In my previous article I have given detail about Xposed Installer. As per it after installing Xposed Installer you can download different Modules/Apps and using it you can do lot many system changes. So we can also make status bar and notification area transparent in our android phone with Gravity Box Module.

I have already explained how you can install XposedInstaller and different Modules in my previous article, you can refer it. So for this tweak you have to install Gravity Box module from the download section in the Xposed Installer. After installing just activate Gravity Box by checking it in Module section in Xposed Installer and click on install/update button from Framework section. You can refer my previous article from above given link if you have any query in installing.

Now after installing Gravity Box and activating it, open the app from menu of your phone.

How to transparent status-bar in any android?

•  In the app you will get different options, select Statusbar tweaks from it.
• Now in that section you will find out Transparency management option, click on it.
• In that section you will see two options for transparency, one for launcher and one for lockscreen. You can set any value you want as per transparency you want in particular area.
• That’s it. Just close the app, and you will notice that your status bar is transparent.

How to transparent Notification Panel/Area in any android?

• Same as above, first select Statusbar tweaks and then Notification drawer style from it.
• Now here you will get Background transparency option, set the value you want and you will get transparent notification area as per your selected values.
